The 11th room was dedicated to Alfonso XIII’s reign and included two de László portraits, Queen Victoria Eugenia, 1910 [7933] and the Infante Don Juan de Borbón y Battenberg, 1927 [12015]. Also included were two portraits of Alfonso XIII, one by Ramón Casas (1904), the other by Joaquín Sorolla (1907), a large portrait of Queen Mother María Cristina, Archduchess of Austria (1906) by Jose Moreno Carbonero, and a bronze sculpture of Alfonso XIII and Victoria Eugenia by de László’s friend, Mariano Benlliure. The introductory panels to the exhibition made reference to “the delicate canvases painted by László." Other artists represented were Juan de Flandes, Coello, Velázquez, Ribera, Antonio Moro, Mengs, Goya and Winterhalter.
