Countess Brockdorff’s picture arrived in London, but Eva Guinness could not be reached; she has asked the German embassy to store it temporarily and requests the box be collected for reproduction. His exhibition is eagerly anticipated (Schulte 1900). The Emperor, who approved portraits of the Empress [4960] and the Princess [5090] for inclusion, admired portraits of the Countess’ niece [4516] and brother-in-law [110793]. A reproduction of her sister’s portrait [possibly 111453] appears somewhat pale.
