De László offers condolences to Rudolf von Slatin upon learning of death of Colonel Phipps. If going to St Blasien, will do sketch of daughter Anne Marie beforehand [7176]. Has done sketch of Anne Marie & Countess Thérèse Eltz for "large picture", but will need them to stay until end Sept for large canvas. His plans for a portrayal of women's suffering in war was never completed [2974]. Staying near Windsor and playing golf
