Millington-Drake writes of his private audience with Queen Marie of Romania, who he quotes as saying, "Of course the person I want to do my portrait is Laszlo". Millington-Drake offers to pass on any words de László would like to say to the Queen. He mentions meeting the garden designer, Lady Alice Martineau, in the palace.
