Letter from the journalist Clémence Rose, who has been given a letter of introduction to de László from one of the artist's good friends, Mrs József Hampel, to de László. The sender would like to meet de László before he leaves Vienna for Ireland. She describes Henry Wickham Steed as "an intelligent and charming man I am sure you will like"
