010-0004

22/02/1912

Edward Tennyson Reed asks de László for a photograph of his portrait of Admiral Togo [110587]. Togo had been a friend of Reed's father, a naval architect who designed battleships for the Japanese. In return, Reed will exchange a Punch sketch of his. Reed also sends a private view ticket for his exhibition of drawings at the Dudley Galleries, he mentions Theodore Blake Wirgman's loss, and ends the letter by expressing his "profound admiration" for de László's work (DLA010-0021 was previously archived with this item)
