    István Bárczy de Bárcziháza congratulates de László on his portrait of Marchioness of Milford Haven [3491]; he likes the sketch of Jenő Rákosi [6729]. Count Bethlen has had bad influenza. Bárczy has recently been appointed State Secretary. He will look after Sam Guinness' friend, "Vickers" [the artist painted six portraits of the Vickers family], when he visits. The Scitovskys are in London

His picture [10498] has arrived back damaged. Refers scathingly to Karlovszky's appointment (DLA016-0058 & DLA016-0059 were previously partial items that have now been merged into DLA016-0058, AD 14/07/21)
